Karoline Byler, 29, is expected to deliver the sextuplets, five boys and one girl, at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg in the next few weeks.

Karoline Byler of Wesley Chapel, Florida, gave birth to sextuplets last night(Saturday, September 1). The babies were born at 29 weeks and four days. A hospital spokeswoman says "Mom and the six babies are doing well."

The babies were transported from Bayfront Medical Center to All Children's Hospital shortly after their birth.
Gifts have been pouring in to Byler and her husband Ben. They have been showered with clothing, diapers, baby wipes and gift cards, as well as six months of in-home care and a $7000 generator for backup electrical power in case of storms.
Update November 11, 2007: Ryan Patrick Byler, who was listed in critical condition the day after his birth, was set to join his four siblings at home Saturday, leaving one sextuplet in the hospital.
Update November 21, 2007: Charlie Craig Byler, weighing 6 1/2 pounds, left All Children's Hospital Wednesday, November 21, just in time for Thankgiving and to finally complete the family unit.
Karoline and Ben Byler of Wesley Chapel are due to become the parents of Florida's first sextuplets. The Bylers, who have one daughter, 3-year-old Zoe, were trying for a second baby. Karoline, 29, has an ovarian condition that makes conception difficult. She underwent fertility treatments. If all goes as planned, they will add five boys and a girl to their family.
