An Oro Valley woman, Lorena Puig, gave birth to quintuplets Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Oro Valley, is a suburb of Tucson, Arizona.
The three girls and two boys were born about 10 weeks premature and were named Anna Sophia, Alessandra, Abby, Joshua and Andre. Their combined weight was a total of 11 pounds six ounces.
Mom and Dad, Lorena and Enrique Puig, became the proud parents of the first set of quintuplets born at the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center this year.
The delivery took a total of 45 minutes, and the babies will likely have to stay in the hospital for several months.
