Kersey Triples Born In Two Wombs
Mother With Two Wombs Give Birth To Triplets
Hannah Kersey, a woman with two wombs has given birth to three children in what is believed to the first case of its kind, a hospital official said Friday.
Hannah Kersey, 23, gave birth to three girls in September, said Richard Dottle, a representative for Southmead Hospital in Bristol where the triplets were born.

The triplets spent nine weeks in the hospital but the reason was not disclosed.
The girls, two identical twins, Ruby and Tilly, delivered from one womb and a single baby, Gracie from the other were born seven weeks early by Caesarean, the BBC reported.
Kersey and her partner Mick Faulkner said they were very happy at how healthy the girls were.
"They are three lovely and incredible children, all with very different personalities," Kersey said.
Multiple pregnancies tend to be risky under ideal conditions, and delivering triplets under such abnormal circumstances was even worse.
Separate or partially joined wombs are relatively uncommon, but not unheard of. It is believed that about one in 1,000 women have them.
Pregnancy is possible, but they tend to result in premature birth more than half the time. One pregnancy in each womb is almost unheard of, as only 70 cases over the past 50 years worldwide had been reported, and triplets delivered from two wombs had never been reported.
