Chinese Conjoined Twins Share One Body
A woman, Bao Qiaoying, 25 from Sichuan, China has given birth to conjoined twin girls that share a single body.
Doctors looking after the mother had persuaded her to abort the fetus, however, the fact she was already in labor prevented the procedure from being performed.
Chinese Infants Born Sharing One Body

The infants were delivered by caesarean on Thursday, May 5th, 2011 at Suining Central Hospital and weighed nine pounds and measured 20 inches in length.
The anomaly went undetected in sonograms done in September and February apparently by technicians who were looking at the single fetus in profile, as such, the parents who farm just outside the southwestern Chinese city, did not learn of the problem until two days before the birth.
Preliminary reports from surgeons considering a separation claim the children have separate spines and esophaguses but share major organs making it unlikely they will ever be separated.
